PRESIDENT/CEO NAMED TOP IN BUSINESS

Westbury, NY April 8, 2009 –Lido Beach resident, Hilary JM Topper, MPA, President and CEO of HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC has been selected as a second-time honoree of Long Island’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business by Long Island Business News, which will take place on Thursday, May 14th at 6 pm the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York.

The Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business awards recognize the significant contributions of women professionals to the region’s economy and to the communities in which they do business.

“To be recognized as one of Long Island’s most influential women business leaders is a honor,” said Mrs.Topper “Long Island has an abundance of meritorious, successful women and to be chosen as one of the top is an great compliment.”

Hilary JM Topper, MPA, has nearly 30 years of public relations, advertising and marketing experience. In March 1992, Ms. Topper founded HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC, a boutique public relations, event planning, social media and graphic design agency located in Westbury, Manhattan and Rochester. For more than 17 years, HJMT provides exceptional service to diversified clients in a variety of fields ranging from schools/libraries to professional service firms and new product introductions.

Prior to HJMT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC, Hilary was the Director of Public Relations and Development at Professional Service Centers for the Handicapped, Inc. She has also worked for Ruder Finn Public Relations, Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Inc., Public Relations, Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations, CLAIROL, Inc. and at Public I Publicity.

Hilary has received numerous awards and honors for her accomplishments within the industry from PRWeek Awards, Long Island Business News, Newsday, Girl Scouts of Nassau County, the Communicator Awards, International Association of Business Communicators, Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women, Diversity Business.com, and The Stevie Awards.

She is a published author and has given numerous speeches and seminars across the country. She is currently working on her first book to be published shortly. Hilary received her Bachelor of Science degree from Hunter College and her Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College.
