The Morrelly Center to host briefing on Cyber Warfare

The recently christened Morrelly Homeland Security Center in cooperation with Tactronics, Inc of Bellport, NY will be hosting a briefing today by Rosemary Wenchel, Director, Cyber, Information Operations and Strategic Studies at Office of the Secretary of Defense.

The briefing and luncheon which will bring together key regional players in this rapid and fast moving area of homeland defense and security. “The threats and battlefields of today and the future are not just physical, they are virtual. We at The Morrelly Homeland Security Center are looking forward to our talents and technology playing a key role in securing and defending the computer networks which are the life blood of commerce and communication in the 21st Century," said Ray Donnelly, Deputy Executive Director for the Long Island Forum for Technology.

The Morrelly Homeland Security was a vision of the late Ken Morrelly, the President of LIFT and the driving force behind its creation. The Center is focused on the convergence of research, technology and public safety requirements for the Homeland Security market. A key focus of the Center is to accelerate the transfer of technology and ideas into market driven products and systems to solve key problems in protecting our society against a terrorist event while creating jobs in New York State.
