GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY RECEIVE GRANT FROM WE CARE LAWYERS FUND
The We Care Lawyers Fund recently awarded the Girl Scouts of Nassau County a $7,500 grant to support Girl Scouting in Hempstead, NY. The check was presented by Nassau County Bar Association official, Judge Elaine Stack.
“Girl Scouts of Nassau County never wants a lack of funds to be an obstacle for a girl to participate in Girl Scouting,” says Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “Thanks to the We Care Lawyers Fund, girls in neighborhoods where it is harder to find Girl Scout Leaders will now have the opportunity to gain a rich leadership experience. We cannot thank We Care Lawyers enough for their generosity and hope they know how much of a positive difference they have made. ”
The grant will allow Girl Scout Troops to continue on Terrace Avenue, at the Ludlum School and at the Edna Moran Shelter of the Interfaith Nutrition Network. Funds will cover membership and participation fees and will allow staff to facilitate troops when volunteers are not available.
